What is APM Test

The acronym APM here stands for Actions Per Minute. Thus, the APM test is a response recording test. It records your reactions within a specified time frame. Ultimately, it calculates the actions performed by you while playing within a minute. The reaction time is very important while playing action games. The lesser the reaction time and the more the actions in less time, the better a gamer you are.

High and Low Action Per Minute

As the name suggests, high and low actions per minute depict the numbers. High APM means more actions are performed within a minute. Whereas, low APM denotes that, fewer actions are performed by the user per minute. A player with a high APM is a good gamer or a professional player. While the player with low APM is a beginner. You can calculate whether you have a low or high APM, using the APM test.

How is it Calculated?

When you take the APM test, your accurate clicks are recorded in that specified time. Similarly, your inaccurate clicks are also calculated based on the target clicking. The number of times you clicked your target correctly is your APM score. There are different difficulty levels to choose from before you take the APM test. Make sure you play the comfortable one, i.e., the one test which is moderate/ easy for you.

Why APM is Important in Games?

Your actions determine your win or loss in a game. In action play games, having more APM will help you perform better in that game. However, in a defensive game or any camouflage game, the lower the APM, the better. You need to perform your actions wisely and decide when to have more or less APM in the game. Then and only then, you will stay on track in the game.
